Hello!
I am Della (The one sat down!) and I am a Celebrant.
What's a Celebrant I hear you ask?
Well, I'm the person at funerals, weddings and naming day ceremonies, who stands at the front and talks a lot...
But if I'm honest there is so much more to it than meets the eye - I really enjoy meeting people, hearing their stories and making their day exactly how they wanted.
I live in 'good ole Grimsby' with my beautiful partner Rachael (The one stood up) and our two Bedlington dogs Freddie and Ida.
Alongside my celebrant work I do the odd performance work such as acting and stilt walking and circus workshops - I know, it's quite the mix but it means that I can add unique elements to your day.
I also toured for 3 years specialising in Children's Theatre, which is great when it comes to thinking out side the box. Naming day's and weddings can be made just as fun and entertaining for the children as well as the adults.
I also was voted as one of the Top 30 under 30 for Hull and Humber, so you know your day is in safe hands.
How it all began
I seemed to stumble into Celebrant work, when a friend of mine asked if I would be the celebrant for her sons Naming Day Ceremony.
I had never heard of a celebrant, but I agreed and absolutely loved it.
I am a published poet and love creative writing, so being able to mix that with my experience in event management and acting was just a bonus.
After the ceremony I searched for professional training and came across UKSOC, which guided me and helped me become fully qualified.
I want to make sure your day is unique to you. I don't do cookie cutter ceremonies, I want your event to be memorable, happy and creative.
As long as you are happy, then so am I.
